General Education Diploma Test:
The GED is a timed test of approximately 8 hours, given over a period of two days, which measures competency in five subject areas along with a 250- word essay. The test itself is aligned to SED Learning Standards for the high school student. The GED is not administered at Smithtown Adult Education but at various sites on Long Island. Our office processes applications for those enrolled in our program.

High School Equivalency Classes help you prepare for the GED Test. Pre-High School Equivalency Classes and Adult Basic Education Classes offer individual preparation for those needing to hone basic reading, math, and writing skills.
Practice GED testing is offered for those enrolled in our program.
